01 THE IDEA

Flo demos a Lindy that wakes up monthly, reads a spreadsheet of competitor names, deploys an agent swarm to research each one (employee count, traffic, recent news, funding activity), logs everything into a tracking spreadsheet showing trends over time, and emails a digest report. The demo shows three fintech competitors tracked across multiple metrics month-over-month.

This is a cleanly productizable SaaS idea: a subscription competitive intelligence dashboard where companies input their competitor list once and receive automated monthly (or weekly) reports with trend analysis. The differentiation from tools like Crayon or Klue is price — those tools cost $15,000-$50,000/year for enterprise, leaving a massive underserved SMB and startup market that would pay $50-$200/month for a lighter version.

03 THE VERDICT

Clear pricing gap in the market (enterprise tools are 100x too expensive for startups), high automation potential, and a universally relatable pain point make this a strong candidate. The Lindy demo shows it can be built in hours. Key to success is packaging and distribution — reach founders where they already hang out (Twitter, YC forums, Product Hunt) with a compelling free tier.
