This business would employ trained negotiators (potentially offshore, Hyper-incentivized on savings) armed with LLM-assisted email drafting and playbooks to negotiate on behalf of individual or business clients. The fee model is performance-based: a percentage (e.g. 20–25%) of whatever savings are achieved below the asking price.
The business model is proven in the B2B software space (the founder has already built and sold one such company to Ramp, and is running a second called TechSource). The idea here is to expand this to consumer purchases: real estate, vehicles, and high-ticket consumer goods. The LLM layer makes the negotiation process more scalable — agents can use AI to draft optimal counteroffers in real time. Timing is excellent as consumers and companies alike are focused on cost reduction in the current macro environment.
