VERDICT: BUILDBERG SCORE 70/100

01 THE IDEA

Most successful creators are bottlenecked not by ideas or charisma but by operations — sponsorship management, scheduling, editing coordination, newsletter writing, community management, and business development. A 'creator chief of staff' embeds with a single creator, takes everything non-creative off their plate, and in exchange takes a meaningful equity or revenue share (10-25%), effectively acting as a co-founder of their media business.

This differs from traditional creator management agencies (which take 10-20% for narrow services) by being comprehensive and deeply embedded. The upside is asymmetric: if you pick the right creator at the right stage and help them 2-3x their output and revenue, your 20% stake becomes extremely valuable. The model is already being used informally by top creators — the opportunity is to systematize and productize it.

03 THE VERDICT

This is one of the highest-leverage paths for someone with operational skills who doesn't want to be a creator themselves. The equity upside is massive if you pick the right creator, and the downside risk is low since you're trading time not capital. The key is targeting mid-tier creators ($200K-$2M/year) who are clearly on a growth trajectory but operationally constrained — not already-massive creators who have full teams.
