Inspired by the Brain Rot app (which shows your brain deteriorating from social media use), Greg prompts Gemini to design a fitness equivalent: 'Gains,' an iOS app where a mascot character visually reflects your workout streak and consistency. The app concept includes streak tracking, a gains calendar, contributor breakdown, and a reaction-based mascot — all generated in one prompt with warm colors and a polished mobile UI.
The business model is consumer mobile: freemium with a premium subscription for advanced tracking, Apple Health integration, and social features. The mascot-driven gamification mechanic is the core retention hook — users feel emotional attachment to their character's state, driving daily opens.
