Inspired by a viral Twitter thread from Val about paying kids interest instead of allowances, this idea targets the gap in financial literacy education for children. The platform would give parents structured tools—interest trackers, simulated investment portfolios, stock market games—combined with a curriculum of bite-sized lessons that parents can walk through with their kids. The business model could be a freemium newsletter/blog at the tech-light end, or a full app with premium subscriptions at the tech-heavy end.

The key differentiation from existing apps (Greenlight, EarlyBird) is the educational layer: not just a bank account or custodial brokerage, but a guided journey where parents and kids learn together. Distribution through PTAs and school partnerships is a compelling low-cost acquisition channel. The stickiest version sells to parents of young children, creating long customer lifetimes as the product evolves with the child's age. Gamification (à la Robinhood or the MarketWatch stock game) is an important engagement mechanic.
