Neurodiversity ERG Community Platform for Companies
A SaaS platform that helps companies launch, run, and measure internal neurodiversity and mental health Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to normalize conversation and build psychological safety at work.
▶ WATCH THE SOURCE SEGMENT — Investing in Mental Health & Embracing Vulnerability with Andy Dunn01 THE IDEA
Andy Dunn explicitly calls out that companies should create neurodiversity community groups or ERGs where employees can trade stories and find common experience around mental health conditions including bipolar disorder, anxiety, OCD, addiction, autism spectrum, and depression. Currently, most companies lack the tools, frameworks, or facilitation resources to run these groups effectively, and the stigma means they rarely happen organically.
A platform purpose-built for mental health and neurodiversity ERGs could provide community facilitation tools, anonymized peer support features, educational content libraries, leader disclosure frameworks, and HR-facing dashboards tracking engagement and program health. The product sits at the intersection of culture-tech, HR tech, and mental health advocacy — a relatively underserved niche compared to broader DEI platforms.

03 THE VERDICT
The idea is timely and the gap is real, but the TAM for specialized neurodiversity ERG software is narrow at the SMB level — enterprise is where budget exists but sales cycles are long. The concept works better as a feature within a broader culture or DEI platform than as a standalone product. A founder with deep HR or mental health advocacy networks could crack early distribution, but cold-starting this without those relationships would be very slow.
