01 THE IDEA

Podcast listeners frequently take screenshots of the player UI to remember a specific moment, but the screenshot is useless beyond the timestamp—they rarely go back to manually find the quote. This micro-app uses OCR to read the podcast name, episode, and timestamp from any screenshot, then runs speech-to-text to extract the relevant transcript segment around that moment, using AI to infer context so no manual start/end point is needed. The result is a personal library of podcast insights with full text and audio clips.

The key strategic insight is to work within existing podcast players (Spotify, Apple Podcasts) rather than building a competing player—meeting users where they already are via the native share sheet or screenshot detection. The product does exactly one thing and does it well (Sony Walkman principle), making it highly shareable among the podcast-heavy knowledge-worker audience.
