An AI agent tracks App Store rankings over time, flagging apps that previously ranked in the top 100 in their category but have since dropped to rank 500+ while retaining a significant review base (10,000–100,000+ reviews). This review corpus represents real social proof and potential user reactivation value. The agent pulls developer contact information and drafts acquisition outreach offering a modest price ($10,000–$50,000) for an asset the developer has likely deprioritized.
Post-acquisition, the operator relaunches the app with updated monetization (subscriptions, better in-app purchases, AI features) and leverages the existing review history for App Store visibility. If capital is an issue, the finder can act as a broker — connecting a developer with an acquirer and taking a fee — rather than buying outright.
