IRL LAN Party Club for Millennial Professionals
A Soho House-style members club where professional Millennials gather for organized, nostalgic multiplayer gaming nights (Halo, Counter-Strike, GoldenEye) as a sophisticated alternative to bars.

The idea merges two trends: the IRL social revival (people want to do things together, not just sit at bars talking) and Millennial nostalgia for LAN-party-era gaming. The concept is a curated, organized gaming venue targeting 28-40 year-olds who grew up with Xbox/PC gaming but can no longer compete in online matchmaking against teenagers. By day it could function as a coworking space (WeWork-style), and by night transform into organized gaming events with structured team play.
The minimum viable version is simply organizing game nights in rented spaces — no need for a $200K buildout upfront. Monetization layers include event tickets, monthly membership fees, F&B, sponsorships from gaming brands, and eventually a physical space. The sober-curious trend further supports activity-based socializing over bar culture. There's also a networking angle: startup founders and tech entrepreneurs are often gamers, making this a premium networking venue with a unique hook.

03 THE VERDICT
The concept is genuinely exciting and clearly fills a social need, but scaling beyond a one-city operation is capital-intensive and operationally complex. The MVP (organized game nights in rented spaces) is low-risk and worth testing, but the Soho House ambition requires significant capital and real estate expertise. Worth starting as a side project to validate demand before committing to a lease.
