MCP Tool Key Manager / Unified API Hub

A single platform that manages all MCP tool API keys and billing so users pay one company instead of setting up accounts on dozens of services.

01 THE IDEA

As AI agents gain access to external tools via MCP servers, users currently must create accounts and manage API keys across every individual service (Firecrawl, Notion, GitHub, etc.). This creates massive friction. The business idea is a unified credential and billing hub — think 'Stripe for MCP tool access' — where a user connects once, pays one subscription, and the platform handles all the underlying API key provisioning, rotation, and billing across all integrated tools.

This sits at the intersection of developer tooling and AI infrastructure. The market pain is clearly articulated in the video: even technically savvy users find it annoying to configure individual keys for each tool. A well-executed aggregator that abstracts this complexity could become critical infrastructure as MCP adoption explodes, with strong network effects as more tools are added to the catalog.

03 THE VERDICT

This is a genuine infrastructure gap with a clear and immediate pain point articulated by real users. The timing is ideal — MCP is growing fast and the tooling is still janky. A focused team that nails the developer experience and security story could capture significant market share before big players like Zapier or Anthropic natively solve this. Move fast.
