01 THE IDEA

For DTC brands dropshipping or fulfilling from China, customer experience suffers when they receive tracking notifications showing Chinese carrier links, which signals long waits and erodes brand trust. This Shopify app intercepts the fulfillment notification and replaces the carrier tracking link with only the last-mile domestic carrier link (e.g., USPS in the US), so customers only ever see a familiar domestic tracking experience without any indication of the China origin.

The app lives natively inside Shopify's fulfillment status system and requires no change to the brand's operations — it simply filters what tracking data is exposed to customers. This is a low-complexity, high-value app for the thousands of Shopify stores using Chinese fulfillment partners, and the pain point is well-validated by Daniel's own fulfillment business customer feedback.

The pain point is real and validated, but Parcel Panel already serves this audience well and is specifically known among dropshippers for origin masking. A standalone app would need either a significantly lower price point or a unique feature (e.g., automatic carrier detection + mapping) to displace an established player. Worth building if you already have a Shopify fulfillment customer base to sell into directly.
